On Board Behaviour Rules

Air transportation is a sphere of increased risks. Protection of passengers, crew and aircraft personnel of civil aviation of Ukraine against the acts of unlawful interference is ensured by a complex of aviation security measures that includes obeying of enforceable standards, regulations and procedures by all participants of air transportation.
On board behaviour standards adopted by Ukraine International Airlines are aimed at ensuring safety and are obligatory for all passengers.

Please follow the rules of behaviuor on board an aircraft during the flight:

Passenger has the right for:

- Personal safety to be ensured;
- Refusing to take the flight in case there is a reasonable concern about personal safety on board;
- Contacting cabin crew members and requiring protection in case his life, health or personal dignity is endangered.

Passenger is obliged to:

- Observe discipline and order;
- Unconditionally obey the instructions of cabin crew;
- Place carry-on luggage and personal belongings at the areas specified by cabin crew;
- Fasten seat belts while the "Fasten seat belt" overhead panel is on.

Passenger is forbidden to:

- Create situations threatening the flight safety or life, health and personal dignity of passengers and crew;
- Show disrespect, aggression towards the crew or other passengers, behave in a threatening, abusive, insulting or disorderly way;
- Deliberately interfere with the crew in carrying out their duties;
- Consume drugs or other substances causing intoxication;
- Consume alcohol, except drinks offered by the cabin crew;
- Smoke on board, including smoking e-cigarettes;
- Leave his seat during take-off and landing;
- Block aisles, service doors and emergency exits;
- Damage equipment or other assets on board the aircraft;
- Carry any UIA property away from the aircraft;
- Use any emergency rescue equipment without crew permission;
- Use electronic devices on board the aircraft during the flight.

In case passenger fails to obey these requirements, captain has the right to:

- Give directions and orders that are obligatory to be followed;
- Apply any reasonable measures, including coercive, to individuals who fail to obey his orders and whose unacceptable behavior threatens flight safety and security;
- Land an aircraft on the nearest aerodrome and place offenders under control of the law-enforcement authorities.

On board behaviour requirements and their practical appliances stipulate the following sanctions:

- The refund by passenger of all additional losses caused by his delinquency on board;
- The compensation by passenger of all material losses in case of airline property waste caused by this passenger;
- The deprivation of passenger's right to travel with UIA;
- Giving maximum publicity to the incident via mass media and the Internet.
